Purpose of the Awards Review Panel

This panel will take part in the selection process for the prestigious AACN Circle of Excellence Awards program. This group will be asked to respond to written materials which are designed for criteria evaluation. The evaluations may be performed from the home or workplace.

Selection Criteria

Review Panel members must have a current email address and be able to receive attachments. The scoresheets will be in Microsoft Excel, so panel members must have access to that software. In addition, the nominee materials will be mailed on a CD-Rom, so you must have access to a computer that reads CDs.

Each volunteer selected will be asked to sign a conflict of interest statement to ensure purely unbiased review for each award nomination submitted.

Scheduled projects and timelines:

• Review award applications: Early October (expected turn around time 3-4 weeks)
• 2nd reviews if necessary: Late October - Early November (expected turn around time 1 week)
• Approximate hours each reviewer can expect to spend on the work is 10-15 hours.

Final Review Panel Appointment Notification:

Appointments to the Review Panel will be announced in September 2007.
